Course Description
This course is designed to explore photo retouching, image manipulation and the creation of original artwork using computers and appropriate software. Compositing, color adjustment and effects through the use of filters will be stressed.
Upon successful completion of this course, students should be able to:
- Describe the basic operation of the computer and peripherals relevant to this course of study.
- Explain and demonstrate the basic functions and operations of the software involved.
- Digitally retouch and color correct scanned images.
- Combine images into new compositions with special effects achieved through the use of layers, filters, and channels.
